Blueprint Technologies Ranked #7 in Deloitte & Touche's List of Virginia's Fastest Growing Technology Companies
Vienna, VA, October 11, 2002-- Blueprint Technologies has been named to Deloitte & Touche’s prestigious “Technology Fast 50” Program for the Virginia area, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues for the five year period from 1997-2001. Blueprint was selected for the “Technology Fast 50” from among hundreds of public and private companies.
Blueprint Technologies’ increase in revenues of 2,758 percent from 1997 to 2001 resulted in a #7 ranking overall in the Virginia Technology Fast 50. Last year Deloitte & Touche named Blueprint Technologies a “Rising Star” as part of the “Technology Fast 50” Program, an honor recognizing fast-growing technology companies based on three-year percentage growth.
“We are honored that Deloitte and Touche has recognized us again this year as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the region,” Jeanne O’Kelley, co-founder and CEO of Blueprint Technologies. “In 2001 we were able to continue our strong growth by focusing on the tremendous need of government agencies for the software and services we deliver to assist with their federally-mandated Enterprise Architecture requirements. This is an area that has continued to pay great dividends for Blueprint Technologies in 2002.”
“In today’s economy, quadruple digit percentage revenue growth is an exceptional accomplishment,” said Gary Tabach, Director & Partner in Charge, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche. “We commend Blueprint Technologies for making the commitment to technology and delivering on the promise of market longevity. We are proud to honor Blueprint Technologies as a Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 winner again this year.”
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in1997 and $1,000,000 in 2001, must be public or private companies headquartered in Virginia, and be “technology companies” defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500fastest growing technology companies.
