VANGENT, INC. CONTRIBUTES $10K TO VIRGINIA TECH “HOKIE SPIRIT MEMORIAL FUND”

Corporate Donation to Assist Families and Victims of April 16 Tragedy

Arlington, VA, September 17, 2007 - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, today announced it contributed $10,000 to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, established by the Virginia Tech Foundation, to provide a vehicle for donors seeking to make donations to assist families, victims and the Virginia Tech community in the wake of the tragic events of April 16.

Vangent initiated a matching gift program and posted a link to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund on its company website to facilitate online donations from employees and concerned citizens. Vangent is committed to helping the communities where its employees live and work, and believes that giving back to the community is an important principle of corporate social responsibility. The company sponsors an annual Community Giving Program, in addition to supporting special needs such as the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.
