BOWERS NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF PUBLIC HEALTHCARE AT PEARSON GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS

Bowers is responsible for overseeing Pearson's work on the 1-800-MEDICARE Helpline at CMS, one of the largest citizen contact management programs in the Federal Government.

Most recently Bowers spent 14 years with Science Applications International Corporation serving in a variety of business development, program and management positions. In his last assignment, Bowers served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Services Business Unit which provides full life cycle information technology services to Federal civilian agencies and related commercial accounts. Under Bowers' leadership, the business unit grew from $30 million in revenue in 1999 to $255 million in 2004.

Bowers holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
