Blueprint Technologies Selected by Network Designs to Support FAA’s BITS II Contract
Broad Information Technology Services II Contract Provides Total Array of IT Support Services
Vienna, VA, July
14, 2003 - Network Designs, Inc. (NDI), a systems integrator in Northern Virginia, selected Blueprint Technologies as part of its team to provide IT services and consulting to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) via its Broad Information Technology Services II (BITS II) contract DTFAWA-03-D-03033.
The BITS contract allows government agencies to acquire state-of-the-art technical support services in a timely manner without going through a lengthy procurement process. Besides the FAA, this contract supports the Department of Transportation, Department of Homeland Security, and other government agencies.
"We have assembled a strong team of IT professionals from multiple disciplines to provide the highest quality of work to the Federal Government," said Kevin McGreevy, CEO of Network Designs, Inc. "Under BITS II, Network Designs will provide procurement support, program administration and management, and business operations for all BITS II task orders. We have invited Blueprint Technologies to join the team to implement best-practices-based enterprise architecture and software development under BITS II task orders."
“We are pleased that Network Designs recognizes the incredible work done by our team of IT architecture experts by partnering with us on this contract,” said Jeanne O’Kelley, CEO of Blueprint Technologies. “The need for enterprise architecture services across the federal government continues to grow, and we look forward to assisting more agencies with their diverse IT needs.”
The BITS II contract is a follow-on to the original Broad Information Technology Services (BITS) contract, initiated in 1998 by the FAA through multiple contracts awarded to Small Businesses, 8(a), Women-Owned, and Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses to provide comprehensive IT technical support services to government agencies. BITS II contains expanded requirements for information technology support services, telecommunications support services, and systems engineering. It remains a “best value” award contract limited to the Small Business and Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business community.
