PEARSON GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS AWARDED CONTRACT FOR CALL CENTER

Pearson to Support Palmetto GBA on Medicare Supplemental Call Center

ARLINGTON VA., June 14, 2005 - Pearson Government Solutions announced it was awarded a two-year contract as a subcontractor to Palmetto GBA to help support the 1-800-MEDICARE Helpline Call Center. The contract, valued at $54 million, will help provide full-time and temporary call volume support to the Helpline and provide training services.

"Our significant expertise in operating and managing customer contact centers and our ability to be responsive during peak call times will help CMS meet its goal providing timely information to its constituents."

Pearson will also provide training to Palmetto GBA's call center workforce through a subcontract with Pearson Performance Solutions, a leading provider of strategic workforce solutions.
