Vangent Wins GSA Contract Award for Multichannel Contact Center Service
USA Contact Provides Federal Agencies with Robust Contact Center Services that Support Increased Responsiveness to Citizens
Arlington, VA, March 31, 2008 - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, today announced that it is one of nine firms to receive a USA Contact Multichannel Contact Center Service (USA Contact) contract from the General Services Administration (GSA). GSA estimates the value of the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract portion of the overall USA Contact program at $2.5 billion during a two-year base period, with four two-year options.
Under the USA Contact contract, Vangent will provide highly sophisticated and responsive contact center services to citizens via multiple channels – including phone, telecommunications devices for the deaf (TDD/TTY), e-mail, postal mail, facsimile, the Internet, and other media as appropriate. Importantly, Vangent will also provide highly-reliable customer support services to address critical agency and program communications requirements during national emergency and crisis situations, as well as for general queries.
USA Contact task requests enable Vangent to furnish the facilities, personnel, equipment, supplies, and services to meet individual task order requirements. In addition to providing automated and manual customer support services, Vangent will also perform the technical and management functions to plan, design, implement, operate, and manage contact center solutions.
The new contract award reflects Vangent’s significant experience providing service center solutions for Federal agencies including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the U.S. Departments of Defense, Education, Labor, Health and Human Services; and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
“Federal agencies continue to focus on increasing the dialogue with their broad constituent base effectively and economically,” said Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vangent, Inc. “Vangent has a strong track record providing government agencies with highly-responsive and informed communications across multiple channels, and we look forward to expanding our contact center services for agencies through GSA’s USA Contact.”
