April 1, 2009Vangent Awarded Alliant Contract Vehicle by the General Services Administration to Provide IT ServicesThe Alliant contract provides federal government agencies with a central source for acquiring integrated information technology solutions. ARLINGTON, VA, APRIL 1, 2009 – Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, today announced that it was awarded a Prime contract on the Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract from the General Services Administration (GSA). Vangent was awarded the opportunity to provide information technology services under a 10-year, multiple award/indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a $50 billion ceiling for all awardees, including a five-year base and one five-year option. The Alliant contract replaces GSA’s Millenia and ANSWER (Applications and Support for Widely diverse End-User Requirements) contracts, and provides all Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies with more streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services for integrated IT solutions.
