Gerald (Jerry) Calhoun is Sr. Vice President of Human Resources for Vangent, and has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources professional and executive in the government contracting industry, as well as 7 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Calhoun is responsible for leading all of Vangent’s people programs, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and performance and talent management.

Jerry Calhoun, Senior Vice President of Human ResourcesMr. Calhoun has been with Vangent since March 2006, serving as Director of Human Resources and HR Business Partner supporting Vangent’s Health Solutions and Blueprint Solutions business units before becoming Sr. Vice President in June 2007. Prior to joining Vangent, Mr. Calhoun served as Chief Operating Officer of KMS, LLC and Scendis Corporation, and Vice President of Human Resources at Telos Corporation. He has also held similar positions at Ford Aerospace Corporation and Halifax Engineering Corporation.

In addition to his experience in the private sector, Mr. Calhoun has served as District Director of the Washington, D.C. office of the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Office of Federal Contract Compliance. Prior to that, Mr. Calhoun served as Area Director, Central New York State, for the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, Office of Contract Compliance.

Mr. Calhoun holds a Masters degree in African and African American Studies, and a Bachelors degree in Political Science, both from the University of New York at Albany.
